WE’RE ZOOMING AGAIN – MAY 23, 2020
Democrats of the Desert is holding two Zoom conversations for members on Saturday, May 23, 2020. There will be a separate, distinct link for each. Invitations with links will be emailed on the morning of May 23. Please join us for both!
NOTE : there will be a 15-minute break between the two Zoom meetings,. We plan to take a few live questions and read questions for each conversation.. RSVP and/or send in a question by May 22nd.
Conversation with Assembly Member Eduardo Garcia
The first call will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. with Assembly Member Eduardo Garcia. We’ve asked him to briefly discuss County and Valley status in fighting COVID-19, and other critical issues, such as the California affordability crisis and homelessness.
We plan to take a few live questions and also will read questions. Please keep your questions brief and to the point. RSVP and/or send a question by May 22nd to president@desertdemocrats.org
Maintaining Equilibrium During a Pandemic
The second call will be from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. that day. DOD’s Program Chair Neddy Thompson, a retired psychotherapist and clinic administrator, will lead the discussion about staying mentally fit. Diane Wohl, a retired marriage and family therapist, will join the call, as will Michael Finland crisis counselor for the Crisis Text Line.
