"Net Neutrality and a Free Press"

By popular demand we are reconvening a distinguished panel to walk us through some of the challenges we will face regarding repeal of net neutrality, freedom of press and the current administration's disdain of traditional press and use of social media.

• Christy Holstege: Christy is a civil rights attorney and is a current member of PS City Council.

• Hank Plante : on air political Analyst for KMIR TV; Winner of the George Foster Peabody Award.

• Anita Rufus: ‘The Loveable Liberal’ radio personality from KNews Radio 94.3 FM Sundays at noon.

• Phil Drucker: an attorney and professor specializing in the first amendment rights of the Constitution.

• Beth Caskie: Progressive Democrat Labor rep highly skilled in technology and who will enlighten us on Net Neutrality issues.

Welcome Jarvis Crawford from Palm Springs Black History Committee.: learn about area events (Black History Month Parade and Town Fair) to celebrate and support January Black History month.

Nomination of Board Officers

Nominations for BOD Officers will be taken at the January Meeting for the election to be held at the February Meeting. DOD Board encourages members to add their name to the slate, and nominations will be taken from the floor at the February meeting.
